This Scientific Reports Collection seeks research on algae-based pollution mitigation in settings such as wastewater treatment, industrial effluents, nutrient recovery, and air quality. We welcome studies on genetically or synthetically modified algal strains for enhanced bioremediation, algae-based biosensors for real-time pollutant detection, and algal-bacterial consortia.
