Invasions in Flight: the Expanding Frontiers of Insect Pests and Pathogens
摘要
Many of the world’s most serious agricultural pests, vectors of human diseases, and invasive species are highly mobile insects that undertake regular migratory movements, often using winds to travel long distances. This makes their geographic distributions and population abundance highly dynamic, difficult to forecast, and challenging to manage. This Collection aims to bring together publications that will increase our understanding and ability to manage the movements and range expansions of highly mobile and invasive pests such as locusts, armyworms, aphids, and mosquitoes.
