Physiology of the WEight Reduced State
摘要
This Special Collection introduces the POWERS (Physiology of the WEight Reduced State) consortium, a multidisciplinary NIH-funded initiative aimed at uncovering behavioral, psychosocial, and physiological mechanisms behind individual differences in weight regain after intentional weight loss. The issue details the study design, behavioral interventions, and comprehensive assessments—including energy balance, neurocognitive and psychological factors, and social determinants of health—used to explore variability in long-term weight maintenance.
