Place Saint-Sulpice

Date: 29 May 2023 (Whit Monday). Time: 9:12 a.m. Place: Café de la Mairie at Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris. The sun hasn’t yet had time to warm up the air, it’s a bit windy, so I’ve chosen their glazed veranda. Here I have a view of the place from behind a round Formica table with a brass frame and iron base. The café staff are classically dressed, with black trousers and shoes, white shirts and black bow ties; someone also wears a black waistcoat and black apron. Garbage collectors in green overalls and yellow vests come by for a quick takeaway coffee in a paper cup.
