In November 2019, while travelling from Gothenburg to Rome via Frankfurt Airport, I read Tim Ingold’s Lines. For me, this journey, which I have made quite a few times, has taken on a personal meaning related to my work for several reasons: a pause, a semicolon between one place and another, which allows for a restart in writing. In the work of the anthropologist Ingold, however, I encountered a distinction that became a commentary on my own travelling.
