Home is a complicated concept. Its complications have to do, firstly, with our concrete experience of home. There are all those times when we are unhappy at home, when home may seem like a place without space, where we cannot breathe. Or there are those cases when home has lost its dynamism, when it becomes so familiar that being at home results in boredom, or where the home becomes the scene of a traumatic event and takes on an eerie atmosphere, or where the home has become occupied, inaccessible or erased.
