At the Threshold

There are thresholds in every house. The most important ones lead into or out of the house. They are where the home and the outside world meet. Outside the house, in the city, there are also many thresholds, often marked concretely and materially. They separate one place from another place, one neighbourhood from another neighbourhood and one atmosphere from another atmosphere. Thresholds are everywhere. Yet there is not much talk about them.
