Between Poetry and Science

摘要

The wind – among the most elusive, mobile and impermanent elements – has been an eloquent reminder of the precariousness of our existence over time. From this crucial, but not exclusive starting point, the wind has been articulated in many contemporary works of art and emerges where the active and constitutive components of the work rely on its performing and conforming aspects. Wind machines, air laboratories, poems of life, simple and complex metaphors. The case history of air in art is extremely diversified and, in the light of current emergencies and sensitivities, it would seem to renew a relationship that art has intertwined with this theme a long time ago.
