The Botanical Garden of Viterbo and the Architecture of the Wind

The Hortus botanicus is a semi-natural environment that hosts an extensive range of plants that are collected, cultivated, and conserved according to systematic, geographical, or ecological criteria. Today the Botanical Gardens, particularly the University ones, constitute open-air laboratories functional to scientific research in the various fields of botanical sciences as well as to the dissemination of natural sciences. Plants, both native and exotic, constitute the object of study and primary interest in the Botanical Gardens, and for plants the wind represents a fundamental element.
