I have already pointed out that, for a sensitive student, the encounter with a remarkable teacher leaves a powerful impression and most likely will determine all future interests and even life-long passions. There are singular moments when students feel a teacher’s presence through her words or actions and these provoke radical changes in their outlook and attitudes.
