Scrapbooking
摘要
The scrapbook is a dynamic medium for the purposeful arrangement of ephemeral media, a practice termed scrapbooking. This process involves two pivotal stages: appropriating paper cutouts and ephemera (irrespective of origin, value, or meaning) and relocating them onto new paper-based substrates. Emerging in the early 1800s alongside the proliferation of photography, daily newspapers, magazines, and the penny press in the United States, the scrapbook swiftly became embedded in the culture of the time.
