Remote Interpreting in Public Service Settings
摘要
As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Public Employment Service of Greece introduced tele-counselling services offering remote interpreting for non- Greek speaking beneficiaries. The Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting provided the technical know-how and the actual interpreting services. This contribution is an account of the main findings generated by a questionnaire-based survey and aims at providing useful insight into remote interpreting and its challenges in public service settings.
