Agency of the Everyday
摘要
The aim of this section is to understand how previous ethnographic writings on agency shape my study on Shingali Ezidi women while also explaining how my study can respond and contribute to the field. Going forward, my goal is to take on the ‘new feminist task’ within ethnography, as Sertaç Sehlikoglu terms it, ‘exploring [women’s] creative agency’321. I hope to expand the understanding and acceptance of Shingali Ezidi women—both within academia and more broadly—and Ezidis as a whole, outside of the limits of religiosity and/or survivor- hood, particularly in terms of agency and identity.
