摘要

The main features of linguistic feminization in the modern Ukrainian language are characterized in comparison with similar trends in German, Polish, Russian, Slovak and other languages. At the same time, the reasons for the existence of functional variants of femininities in the Ukrainian language are established and the tendencies of their discursive consolidation traced. Two approaches, the liberal-democratic and radical-androcentric, to the perception of femininities are identified, among which the supporters of the first one, based on public and social demands, emphasize the need for the full functioning of the new femininities in all modern discourses, while the supporters of the latter believe that their quantitative expansion significantly affects the established patterns of grammatical structure of certain languages (Russian), reduces the social perception of the official business, professional, social and role status of women, and blurs established traditional social values. The main tendencies of linguistic feminization in the modern Ukrainian language are focused on the active consolidation of the new status of women, and in terms of feminization tendencies, it is assimilating to Polish, Slovak, and partly German (formation of separate plural forms).
