This study explores the use of minority languages in the corporate communication of Spanish companies in the six autonomous communities with more than one official languages. It highlights the surprising scarcity of minority language use on corporate websites despite the legal recognition of languages. Catalonia stands out with more frequent use of Catalan, though its presence remains limited overall. Differences can also be observed within the websites with a clear tendency towards the use of the minority language in sections like “About Us” but rarely in areas like “Financial Information” or “Governance”. The study suggests that for many companies, the additional costs for a web presence also in the minority language do not seem to pay off.
