Linguistic research methods for studying charisma

Charisma and experiments, charisma and historical reconstruction, charisma and prediction – can experiments and modelling be used to ‘unlock’ the mystery of charisma and predict future charismatic figures? In this section, we will discuss verbal, paraverbal and non-verbal indicators of charisma, along with various linguistic identification methods in the oral discourse of politicians. Specifically, we will examine associative experiments, perceptual identification and computational analysis. Additionally, we will explore methods for indexing the charisma of historical political leaders and techniques for predicting the emergence of charismatic figures in Germany and Ukraine.
