摘要

The development of hybridity theory across various interdisciplinary academic fields stemmed from a paradigm shift in which ‘culture’ emerged as a key term in a number of social sciences and humanities (Katan, 2018, p. 31). This shift led to the expansion of cultural theories across their respective interrelated disciplines, fostering a dynamic perspective in cultural studies. Such perspectives necessitated a theoretical reorientation that spurred new study focuses within the interdisciplinary fields of the social sciences and humanities (Bachmann-Medick, 2016, pp. 1–2).
