Toward an Integrative Typology of Hybridity
摘要
After exploring systemic interdependencies within the social sciences and humanities in Chapter Two, this chapter seeks to organize existing studies by presenting a novel conceptualization and detailed taxonomy of hybridity types. After redefining hybridity and formulating a hypothesis, this section introduces various types of hybridity, each with unique outcomes and scopes. The first category, termed ‘intra-languacultural hybridity,’ examines hybridity within a single languaculture. This category seeks to broaden the understanding of how hybridity – and its counterpart, purity – is generated and perceived within each distinct society (Stockhammer, 2012, p. 2).
