Satisfaction with the Use of Microsoft 365 Copilot in Technical Translation Training
摘要
This chapter explores the satisfaction of third-year technical translation students with Microsoft 365 Copilot in a Spanish university course. Aimed at teachers and researchers in translation training, it examines how generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) may assist specific translation tasks. The methodology involved questionnaires before and after the experience, and following each task, yielding both quantitative and qualitative insights. Results indicate a generally positive attitude towards Copilot, especially in instrumental and strategic tasks, while linguistic and cultural tasks showed limitations. Students reported increased confidence and interest in AI tools, supporting their inclusion in translator training. Findings suggest that Copilot can enhance processes such as organisation and terminology management, though its effective use requires critical guidance. The study underscores the pedagogical potential of generative AI when embedded within ethical and competence-based frameworks.
