The birth of language

摘要

The development of language as a means of communication was crucially dependent on the mobility of the first living beings. Outside the quorum sensing of bacteria, the electrical signals of the “microbial brain” had to overcome the physical resistance of media such as water or air. Neural structures were needed for the encoding and decoding of information. Thus, communication between individuals became an encoded space in which evolutionary processes take place.
