摘要

Evolving innovations are linked to the development of collective intelligence and thus to the number of individuals in communities and societies. In manageable populations, fundamental discoveries by individual geniuses still stood for the mirroring character of insights. Since the 19th century, the genius factor in innovations has been steadily declining. The global availability of knowledge today requires the extraordinary talent to recognise order in a flood of information.
