Thinking without beginning or end

摘要

Our urge to understand the universe is limited by a way of thinking that requires a beginning and an end. This is because we assign a unique status to Earth as an observation system when we look out into the universe. But this perspective can also be reversed. The most general evolving properties that determine the movement of the universe can also be found in all life forms on Earth, from bacteria to highly developed societies. Fundamentally new scientific insights are not required here; instead**,** all that is needed is a modified observation system that does not attempt to explore the mystery of a beginning and an end.
