The brain as the developmental centre

Nervous systems are at the centre of complexity development. Their shape and structure are determined by the demands of communication with the environment. The fully-developed human brain achieved its final configuration in response to the relatively stable types of environments on Earth and in the course of the emergence of an expanding collective intelligence. When the brain’s tasks are outsourced to a technical structure, cognitive abilities begin to regress.
