Abstract

This book critically examines the status of the Yezidis within Kurdish nationalist-political discourse alongside Kurdish Islamic religious discourse in the aftermath of the genocide against the Yezidis perpetrated by the Islamic State (ISIS). Although the position of Yezidis within this Kurdish discourse may vary across different regions, this analysis focuses specifically on the prevailing discourse concerning Yezidis in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
