The 2014 Yezidi Genocide and Kurdish Political-Islamic Discourse
摘要
There is clear controversy and contradictions regarding the Kurdish stance, both religious and national, regarding the genocide perpetrated against the Yezidis by the Islamic State (ISIS) in 2014. The ISIS invasion of the Yezidis significantly impacted the relationship between the Yezidis and the Muslim Kurds and political parties, both nationally and socially. This invasion led to a clear aversion among the Yezidis toward Kurdish Muslims in general, and in many cases, it even developed into feelings of hatred between the two sides, both ethnically and religiously. However, various Kurdish religious and political-nationalist perspectives emerged on this issue.
