摘要

Early Kurdish nationalism emerged, much like its Arab and Turkish counterparts, within the broader political and intellectual transformations of the late Ottoman period1. This formative phase was characterized by a pronounced intertwinement between emerging nationalist discourse and religious – particularly Islamic – thought. Religious figures played a central role in leading movements that articulated Kurdish national demands.
