Islamic Sexual Enslavement of Yezidis

Throughout history and into the modern era, the Yezidis have been subjected to continuous persecution and genocidal campaigns in the name of Islam and its legitimization. Despite the collateral objectives and privileges that sometimes accompanied these campaigns, the targeting of the Yezidis throughout history and culminating in the genocide perpetrated against them by the Islamic State in 2014, clearly demonstrates that the primary aim was to destroy their distinct religious identity. This objective manifested in attempts to erase Yezidism and eradicate their beliefs entirely, whether by forcibly converting them to Islam or by killing and eliminating them altogether.
