Correa Vázquez, María Eugenia: 1954–2021
摘要
Maria Eugenia Correa Vázquez was a prominent Mexican economist mostly known for her work in finance and financial markets, financial deregulation and financial crisis. Her analyses of finance highlight how markets are intrinsically imbedded within the political, social and cultural realities of a society. Using the Mexican economy as a source case, she emphasized the limitations placed by financial factors to the policy space of developing countries. Maria Eugenia Correa Vázquez also made contributions to feminist economics through the analysis of the financial reforms to the pension systems during the 1990s.
