Working with Resources

In the previous chapter, you learned how to give your MCP server hands by creating tools. Tools let the AI model reach out and do things in the world, from placing pizza orders to scanning galaxies. Resources are the other side of that coin. Where a tool performs an action, a resource provides data. Think of resources as read-only documents that your server can expose so that an AI assistant has all the context it needs to give great answers.
