Failure, Instability, and Recovery

Autonomous software delivery systems are discussed in this chapter as an evolved type of control architecture, building on top of CI/CD and DevSecOps approaches and advancing them further toward self-regulation and intelligent self-learning. Thus, software delivery is not seen here as a set of automated actions only; instead, it is interpreted as a sophisticated control system, which becomes increasingly sophisticated due to the introduction of machine learning capabilities that enable improved feedback, decisions, and actions.
