Measuring Platform Success

Up to this point, we’ve outlined the essential characteristics of a domain-driven platform and how to assess the current state as you begin improving your organization or product. This is all great, but how do we know that all this is actually making a difference for product developers focused on their domain-driven development once it is rolled out, or how do you even have confidence that you will be able to measure the impact after it is rolled out? Can you stand up in front of your leadership team and clearly demonstrate the benefits? After all, pivoting to a platform-driven approach that will impact your flagship products directly and indirectly is not free, and your leadership expects real, tangible benefits at every step of the journey.
