摘要

This chapter addresses fiber optics and optical communication and introduces photonics and emerging trends in photonics, including future prospects, in the first part. In the second part, it introduces Industrial IoT (IIoT) and discusses key components of IIoT, technologies enabling IIoT, and future trends in IIoT. The third part discusses convergence of photonics and Industrial IoT.
