Governance in Snowflake works best when it lives in SQL next to the data. Tags, policies, and lineage are first-class objects you can create, review, and move through environments like any other DDL. The goal is a small, boring set of conventions: a few canonical tags, a repeatable way to discover sensitive fields, and lineage you can query for audits and impact analysis.
