摘要

Emerging technologies in artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing are rapidly redefining the cybersecurity landscape. These innovations bring immense benefits, but they also introduce unprecedented threats that challenge traditional defenses. Malicious deepfakes, autonomous malware, and looming quantum-powered attacks are no longer science fiction – they are part of a new frontier of risks that organizations must confront. Meanwhile, governance and policy frameworks struggle to keep pace with the speed of technological change, creating gaps in our collective security. In this chapter, we explore how AI-driven threats and quantum-era risks are shaping the future of cybersecurity. We delve into AI-driven threat modeling, the rise of deepfakes, the potential catastrophe of cryptographic failure in a quantum age, and the urgent need for quantum-resistant cryptography. Throughout, we emphasize the importance of forward-looking governance principles and highlight tooling gaps that must be addressed to secure our digital world. Together, these topics underscore a pivotal theme: to navigate this new era of threats, we must proactively blend technology, strategy, and policy in equal measure.
