These days, I do most of my shopping online. During one of my recent browsing sessions, I came across a webshop for a clothing brand I hadn’t heard of before. The moment I opened their site, I felt seriously overwhelmed by everything flashing in my face. I focused for a few seconds and realized that not only the main hero element, but every single teaser in the viewport was switching its background between an image and a full block of color. Not in sync, in case you were wondering. I closed the site almost immediately and continued browsing for clothes, a big question lingering in my mind. Why would someone do that?
