Cache and Prefetcher Simulation

This chapter explains how to put the concepts from Chapter 8 into practice. You will inspect and modify cache and prefetcher mechanisms and run focused experiments on ChampSim using intentionally designed workloads. Furthermore, you will use simulation results to draw architectural conclusions for each experiment.
