Sampling and Simulation Efficiency
摘要
The previous chapter explored various aspects of trace collection, and we worked through basic examples with manageable instruction counts. In the real world, typical workloads execute billions or trillions of instructions, which is impractical to simulate because simulations run orders of magnitude slower than native execution.
