High performance in digital product teams does not emerge at the beginning of a project. It develops over time as people learn how to work together, collectively interpret their work, and sustain a shared understanding as complexity increases. Earlier chapters in this book examined the conditions that make collaboration possible, including how teams navigate conflict, how shared understanding is formed, and how leadership and communication routines shape collective reasoning. This chapter brings those threads together by focusing on how teams grow across time into a form of collaboration that can sustain high performance rather than produce it briefly.
