We now have context about what Kubernetes is and its journey from Google's internal systems to the open-source standard it is today. But knowing the history and purpose is only part of the picture. To actually use Kubernetes effectively, we must understand how it is organized internally—the building blocks and the mechanisms that allow it to do what it does.
