Thain Meets the Agent Framework

This chapter builds Thain v0.1, the first runnable version of the support-triage agent using the Microsoft Agent Framework. It connects Azure configuration, model access, a keywordbased classification tool, short-term memory, and structured JSON output into a modular asynchronous Python project. The result is a clear foundation for the later chapters, where Thain gains persistence, retrieval, production controls, and multi-agent capabilities.
