What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)? Believe it or not, AI is not a new concept. The term dates back to the mid-1950's. Both AI and intellectual property (IP) have evolved over time, making advancements as technology has progressed. Understanding the history of AI, how IP has developed technically, and where these two areas intersect, can provide good context for how to begin using AI with proper design and governance.
