Defining Contracts and APIs

Your customers do not just purchase a binary or executable, or an API endpoint from you or your organization. They purchase a service. Whether that is an Android application, an HTTP service, or a Desktop application. As you work on the service that your customers want to build a relationship with you for, you must keep in mind that these relationships do break often—while not at the first bad instance, but a repeat violation does lead to a churned customer.
