In previous chapters, you learned to use Hyper-V’s tools to create and modify virtual machines (VMs). At the most basic level, virtual machines exist as a set of files. Hyper-V handles most of the details, but administrators have some management and operational responsibilities. You should know how to locate all the files that belong to and make up a virtual machine. All Hyper-V administrators need to inspect and change virtual hard disk files. This chapter shows how to perform these tasks.
