The Ethical Framework: Building Trust in AI Through Human Values
摘要
Human relationships are based on trust, whether it’s between two individuals or organizations or a new kind of relationship between humans and technology. It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say the survival of the human species is intricately linked to the presence and maintenance of trust. Without trust, cooperation breaks down, relationships fracture, and societies begin to collapse. In a widely acclaimed Harvard Business Review paper called “Rethinking Trust,” Roderick M. Kramer made a bold claim that “to trust is human.” He further builds on this notion by explaining that humans are naturally inclined to trust. This trait has deep biological and psychological roots and is embedded in our evolutionary history as a crucial survival mechanism. Over thousands of years humans have developed the ability to form bonds and develop dependencies on one another. This behavior has increased our chances of survival. From early tribal societies to modern communities, trust has enabled us to share resources, protect each other, and build last social structures. Trust is not just a social convenience but a strategy essential to human flourishing.
