Agile was never designed to center around meetings. The ceremonies we started with: stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, were designed as light, focused tools to keep teams aligned and moving forward. Yet somewhere along the way, meetings began to take a central role. Instead of enabling collaboration, they started to consume it. Hours that should have been spent on building, problem-solving, and cooperation were lost to calls, syncs, and frequent status updates.
