In traditional on-premises systems, observability was often a second thought added reactively to debug production failures. In contrast, in the cloud-native era, observability must be designed as an intentional, first-class capability enabling platform teams to understand system behavior, optimize resources, detect threats, and demonstrate compliance before any issue arises.
