Microsoft has never made significant inroads into the two job functions that sit upstream of corporate developers (business analysts) and downstream (testers). The initial promise of Team Foundation Server (TFS) from Microsoft to capture more of the SDLC never gained a lot of industry traction, and the moves from TFS to Azure DevOps and now through to GitHub.com does little to impress functional testers who want a stable, long-lived environment to manage their test case execution.
