This chapter explores these seven pivotal pillars: ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) and the principles underlying it, agility through CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery), component design and maintainability, environment management, governance, security, and change control, automated testing and monitoring, and the importance of collaboration and self-service (Figure 2-1). These pillars contribute to a robust DataOps framework, ensuring that data operations are scalable, reliable, and aligned with organizational goals.
