AI Regulation and Data Minimization Throughout the AI System Life Cycle

We would be remiss if we didn’t address data minimization in the context of artificial intelligence (AI). This chapter looks at the life cycle of an AI system and where and how data minimization principles apply under the letter of the law. In the next chapter we will address the compliance challenges that arise, with a focus on general-purpose generative AI models.
