Data Minimization Under Different Jurisdictions

Having obtained a general understanding of the key data minimization concepts of data de-identification, anonymization, and pseudonymization, we now dive into how some of these concepts are defined under different jurisdictions and which data minimization requirements exist, if any. We selected the most important data protection laws in an attempt to demonstrate the range of different approaches to data minimization globally without being exhaustive.
